A sustainable dish brush that is great for washing dishes, pots, and pans. Researchers have found that brushes are a better dish washing option than kitchen sponges, which harbor germs and bacteria and need replacing very often. Natural brushes also look beautiful next to the kitchen sink!
Sisal is a natural fiber from the agave sisalana plant, stronger and more durable than other natural fibers. It is resistant to bacteria, mildew, and oil. It also has no chemicals, plastic, or BPA., which means no toxins and microplastics are passed to the food or the environment.
To care for your dishwashing brush, rinse off soap buildup with water after use and air dry with the bristles facing down. Use the hanging loop to keep the brush out of water when not in use. Clean bristles as needed with vinegar to kill bacteria. Do not place in dishwasher to clean. Avoid soaking in water to prevent cracks in the wood.
Refills can be purchased making this brush reusable and better for the environment! To replace head, use pliers to pinch the metal piece. Pull the brush head and the brush handle in opposite directions to slowly remove the old brush head. Slide on a new brush head until the metal piece is back to its original position. Once the brush has lived its life as a dishwashing brush, re-purpose the brush for shoe cleaning, general house cleaning, gardening, etc. The brush can also be composted.
